Our Clinics

The RunInn clinics are designed to provide training and workouts with safety and fun in mind.
 
We offer groups for every level of fitness. Groups include fitness walkers, beginning runners through to six minute/mile runners.
 
Each training group has a leader to set the pace and offer advice.
 

 
Winter/Spring Programs (Tsawwassen)
 
Tuesday Evening Clinics
Tuesdays at 6:30pm
January 5th - March 3rd, 2010
Clinic Fee: $50 for the full 12 week clinic 
                 $4 for a weekly drop-in
 
4 programs are offered:
 
Nordic Walking / Walking:
This program is designed for anyone interested in learning about Nordic walking. We will have a certified leader and we will rent walking poles for anyone who needs them.
 
Run-Walk:
This program is designed for the beginner runner or the runner who is coming back to running. This is a 12 week program that starts out with a 1 min. run and 4 min. walk and then gradually increases to a 30 min. non-stop run. The goal is to complete a 5k fun run.
 
10k:
Gradually run your way up to a 10k distance. Perfect for those who have completed the Run-Walk, or want to train to run a 10k race.
 
Pace Groups:
These groups are designed for the individual who wants to complement their training with a speed workout. Pace goups start at 10:00/mile and increase in speed to 7:30/mile. Strength and pace is the main focus for these groups.

Thursday Evening Clinics

Run Faster:
Traditional track training designed to improve running speed. Weekly workouts will be done at Point Grey Track.
 
Thursday Night Workout:
Back by popular demand, the Thursday Night Workout offers a variety of running workouts. Weekly workouts will vary to include hilly runs, fartlek and track work.
 
Base Building:
For graduates of the Begin to Run program or for runners who want to build a stronger running base. Runners will work on increasing the length of their runs from 30 to 50 minutes.
 
Begin to Run:
Designed for the individual who wants to start running. This 12 week progressive walk / run program will have participants running. 30-35 minutes non-stop by the end of the clinic.

The Half Marathon Run Inn Program
Tsawwassen: January 2nd - May 1st 2010
Kerrisdale: January 2nd - May 1st 2010
Clinic Fee: $100./person (incl. GST)
 
Long runs will take place every Saturday morning at 8:00am from various locations around the city. The group will be split into specific pace groups with leaders, from a 7:30 minute/mile to a 12 minute/mile pace. Long runs are performed on a time basis and will increase in duration with each week.
 
Each participant also gets a complimentary entry for our Tuesday/Thursday evening Speed/Strength sessions.
 
A new participant to this clinic should be able to run 45 minutes continuously before joining.

The Marathon Run Inn Program
Tsawwassen: January 2nd - May 1st 2010
Kerrisdale: January 2nd  - May 1st 2010
Clinic Fee: $100./person (incl. GST)
 
Long runs will take place every Saturday morning at 8:00am from various locations around the city. We will introduce the benefits of a run/walk program to all participants throughout this clinic. The group will be split into specific pace groups, with leaders, from a 7:30 min/mile to a 12 min/mile pace. Long runs will increase in distance with each passing week.
 
Each participant also gets a complimentary entry for our Tuesday evening Speed/Strength sessions.
 
A new participant to this clinic should be comfortable at the 10km distance.
